Alfred Joseph Casson, OC (May 17, 1898 – February 20, 1992) was a well known member of the Canadian group of artists known as the Group of Seven, in Canada, and here is an authentic image which is NOT a fake one seen too many time today. A. J. Casson joined the group in 1926 at the invitation of Franklin Carmichael and Casson is best known for his paintings of landscapes, forests and farms of southern Ontario where he lived, and elsewhere in Canada as well as an occasional plein air trip in Quebec; since being youngest member of the Group of Seven... he did many original paintings.
