A 2-page 19th Century Cuban report, written in a neat cursive hand, 22 x 32 cm. The manuscript states the following, "The Capitain General of Cuba states that the mayor of Guanabacoa (near Havana) says that 6 women "senoras and senoritas" are complaining of "abuses" and faults, that are occurring in the Convent of Santo Domingo, including the use of ride/indecent ("indecorosos") words and actions that are not worthy ("digno") of a priest/clergy and the President of the Congregation to which the Priest belongs was asked to be informed... Many complaints have been lodged against this priest/clergy."It is signed by Ramon Blanco, a former Governor General of the Philippines and also Santo Domingo (and he was also a Capitain General of Cuba)
